I am a passionate educator with an excellent academic background and a knack for breaking down difficult concepts into easy-to-understand chunks. My favourite thing in the world is experiencing those lightbulb moments with my students! 💡
I have many years of experience teaching Biology across all exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, and more), from KS3 through to A Level. I've taught at international schools, gaining experience with iGCSE and International A Level qualifications, and I'm currently a Teacher of Biology at a top Sheffield private school.
I've helped hundreds of students just like you achieve the grades they needed for their next steps. But here's the real secret: I got top grades in my own GCSEs and A Levels by following one simple method. The spec is your bible. I committed it to memory, then practised with past papers until I was confident I'd covered everything. This is the method I know works. Success takes a lot of boring hard work!
That's why I built Bare Bones Biology. To give you the exact system I used, without the years of trial and error.
Most revision guides are bloated with hundreds of pages. You end up spending hours reading, but still feel unprepared. Worse, you don't know what you don't know. You need clarity, not quantity. You need the spec stripped back to exactly what the exam tests.
Here's the truth: iGCSE Biology exams only test what's on the spec. If you know everything on the spec, you can answer every question. That's it. No tricks, no surprises. But most students waste time on content that won't appear in the exam. I cut away everything else.
Passive revision doesn't work. You need to test yourself constantly and actually know what you don't know. That's why I built the RAG system. 🔴 Red, 🟡 Amber, 🟢 Green. It forces you to be honest about your gaps. You can't hide from what you don't understand.
